2007 Engine Heat shield

So I lifted the tank to do a couple of easy things and familiarize myself with the bike. I see this huge heat shield over the engine. I searched and could not find any reference to this. Does anybody know an easy way to take it off?

Hmmm...

I guess I over thought it. I took out the little plastic screw and just hauled it out. After removing the "T" bar of course.

Yup, what Huck said. Pull the T bar and the lil black philips fastener and it comes right out.
