I have a ? for everybody. My 2007 FJR AE makes a lot of banging noises when I sift. Has this happening to anybody?

Mine does the same thing, especially when I shift from neutral into first. Doesn't bother me. Coming off Beemers, I'd worry a little if I didn't hear that "ker-klunk," (German term).

Also like BMW's, it shifts like buttah when I run up the rpm's to 4 K or so before shifting. WBill

Like Wbill, mine's the same... I found at low speeds rolling off the throttle a little helps (no need at higher rpm's/speed) she's smooth there. Foot shift a little smoother than paddle for me.

+1 same here

Make sure that the loud shifting is not due to the clutch plates sticking. My 07 did not shift smoothly unless I was very careful. I had some problem with it lurching when starting in cold weather and once or twice a delayed clutch release when coming to a stop. The shop replaced the clutch plates (others just cleaned the plates) and the problem was solved and after the clutch plate fix it shifted like a modern motorcycle should instead of like a tractor.
