That looks "verrrrry interesting" and FUN too! Maybe Buell can find a broader market once he can compete with higher horsepower (and maybe reliability..thinking transmissions on the earlier models) against Aprilia and Ducati. One wonders if they will still be sold under the Harley Dealer Network....

While I'm not in love with their blaa color choices I suspect this will be one FUNtastic, fast bike with superb handling. If so, what next with more humane ergos for us old(urr) phhhartzz??? I rode a Uly @ 2 weeks after I took delivery of my '06 FJR. Good thing I already HAD my FJR, or there would be a Buell in my "Toy Room" instead! Aaahh well, just goes to show: anything from Wisconsin has gotta be GR8!!! LOL! Yea...guess my home state.............DFO :yahoo:

There have been a lot of rumors that a new liquid cooled vtwin was in the works.Crazy thing is that most rumors about anything with HD has a grain of truth to it.Most of us Buell lovers thought it would be based on the Vrod. Now that I know it will be a Rotax then count this old fart in.The frame is a real work of engineering art and is a real blast to toss around and trash corners.I honestly think that Eric and company will break away from the HD network and begin looking to establish dealerships with other sportbike retailers.I personally would love to see that happen.I wrote them a letter two months ago and was assured that things would be changing.

Let's hope things change for Buell relative to dealers. The few hardlee dealers around here that carry Buell, at best, treat them as the red haired step child. Those bikes deserve dealers that know, like and want to sell and service the product. The more blurbs I see about this bike the more interesting it becomes....now for a version I can FIT on! Buell handling has been outstanding and the innovative frames etc certainly are thinking outside the J sportbike box, but only so much can be done with the Sporty 1203 lump. DFO

Cool. I always secretly liked the Buell line, but couldn't get around the Hardley connection. Hey, I like them as well, but....................

Now with Rotax, sweet.......................hmmmmmmmmm

That video is cool.

This is something to keep an eye on. I love my '03 XB9S.

Now with more power, water cooled and more fuel capacity. Erik may have a real winner here. I met him at an open house last year and he is a great person. We chatted for a while and seemed to take everthing to heart. What better person to build sportbikes than a motorcycle enthusiest.

I'm going for a ride on my Buell now !!!!

Tim

Stoped at the local HD shop and they didn't know anything about the new Buell. Sounds like the big boss was at the HD meetings now.

Funny, the local HD shop don't know anything about the old buell either!!

146 bhp looks REAL good! Wasn't thrilled about the 82 ft/lbs of torque...sounds like weak bottom end for a V-twin...but the 375 pounds of dry weight more than makes up for it.

DAYUM! Eric speaks Italian!

SWEEET!!!!!

There may be another Buell in my future. I got rid of my 2003 XB9S for the Feej, if they break away from H-D count me in. I hated going to H-D stealerships they didn't know **** about the Buells and EVERYTHING was a special order (i.e. no returns when they screw up). I'm going to keep up with this for sure!

Sorry to hear about your experience with your dealer. There were a lot of problems with the 2003 but buyers dont forget a bad year and are less likely to forgive and dish out five figures on a second chance.Buell separating is NOT likely to happen.I read a report in a British paper that Eric only owns 2% now not 51% as before 1998 but if anyone will be able to get new under fifty blood into a HD dealer it will be Mr. Buell. He has so many international patents that all of us have been blessed with on our modern machines.I am sure that the royalties keep him fat and happy.BTW there is a dirtbike in the works also.Pretty cool concept using a variation of the patented frame. Here is the story about Buell in the British press. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/main.jhtm...4/ccprof114.xml

I forgot to add that the new machine will not be on the showrooms until the end of September or first week of October according to my sources.

One other note is if you want to find out what it will be like then talk someone into letting you ride the new KTM SuperDuke.Similar spec motor and wheelbase.Watch the SuperDuke video.Brings out the hooligan in all of us
