2008 risers

I am looking into installing a riser plate on my 08 that I recently purchased and I have tried a search with no luck. I am looking for information from anyone that has installed risers of any kind on their 08 bike. Just curious to see if there are any issues wth cable lengths. I read about cutting wire looms and do not see how this applies because mine are just metal loops that seem to guide but not restrict length. Its kinda hard to imagine without trying first. Thanks for any help.

The '08 is the same as '07 and '06. They're all part of "Gen 2".

Thanks a lot, that link helps a lot. I looked at the heli site before and pulled up the instructions but for some reasons the photos will not show up.
