Not really sure what the bike is worth, but if you are looking and are nearby, come take a look.

2009, ABS, Black (as they all are)

bar risers

couple of windshields - stock, v stream, third

has antler mirrors, but the stock mirrors are boxed

has gerauld mirror mounts for lights with 4 bolb LED fogs mounted. Fogs run off keyfob dimmer, always on 1/16th power, switch on bile to toggle to full on

has 'glimmering' white leds on forks

has aux flashing brakelights and a light bar (turn, hazard, brakes, running) under the license plate

fuzeblock under seat

datel volt meter mounted where the heated grip controller goes

port mounted right near left knee to plug in gerbings.

front seat rebuilt by spencer for my fat ass.

optional black GIVI topcase on a GIVI rack. Have the stock rack too. I would be inclined to revert this to stock. The case is sort of half assed modifed with lights and a cig plug.

45000 miles- but oil and drive oil changed every 4K, brake fluid once a year

had a big ass service at 41K - valves, TBS, forks rebuild, rear pivot, etc. $1500

Tires have a couple thousand on them PR2s

ground harness recall done.

tipped at zero mph a couple of times - gas station, Red robin, garage, driveway. So there are a couple of marks on the side bags, mufflers, sliders, one spot on left side bottom of motor. Really not too bad, but they are there.

Shop wants to give me $7K for a trade in on the '14. There isnt anything like this on cycle trader for 7K. Why sell to them so they can sell to you for 9K??? The '14 isn in stock yet, but if you are reasonably local, and you want to take a look at the bike, let me know. Otherwise, when the new bike comes in, I'll put it up here for a week or two before trading it in. I'd rather someone gets a good deal then the shop makes more money.

Eric

Motorcycle dealers reference used motorcycle guides to give ballpark pricing. The two big names that put a value on vehicles:

KBB trade $6,720 retail $9,585

NADA trade $7,440 retail $9,790

This is for Montgomery and sets base numbers to work from. The truth lies in how much time and effort you want to spend on getting the most from your FJR as you move uptown :)

Hmnn, so 7K would be a pretty good deal for some local boy. OK, thanks.

Make sure you factor in the extra sales tax you will pay when not trading in. $350 on $7000 @ 5%. If you end up trading in, if the dealer won't give you any more for trade in, see if he will take some off the MSRP and give you that much more for your trade in. Same difference but less tax.

dealer is already giving me a great price. I've so far got no complaints. But I also dont have a new bike yet/
