2009 paint colors?

I am wanting to purchase a new FJR but already have a black bike, didn't care for the still available 07 wine color. The 07 ae color is the nicest color I have seen anywhere on anything. I suppose it is too soon to speculate about 09 colors???? Thanks

The 07AE color is Cerulean Silver. The same color on the 06AE, and all 2004 FJRs.

And it IS the BEST color of FJRs!

Fastest too!

I've had 2 different dealers tell me they thought (but didn't know for sure) that the 09 color was going to be silver. I like the silver,because I bought an 04 when they came out, but holy crap Mama Yama! Don't you have any imagination with colors. Give us some of those great colors the Euros get. Enough with the silver already.

No kidding, that Desert Sand Gold in Europe. The Cerulean is a great color, but how about a metallic pearl or sea foam. Triumph Roulette Green. Hayabusa Orange, Ducati Red. Really Yamaha, make my day some day.

My favorite color is still the Granite Gray of the '08 AE (though I'm not unhappy with the Black Cherry, a.k.a. Dark Red Metallic, of my '07 A).

You know, orange/bronze/copper has been a very hot color in automobiles in the last year or so, though I still don't think it sells well. I (obviously) prefer the blues, though I really like the Black Cherry, too. No offense, Cerulean riders, but I'd like to see another actual color instead of silver again.

I wouldn't be into the primary colors so much. I tend to agree with Topanga and others; that euro gold color looks kinda sharp, and I'm sure there are other cool shades not already taken by BMW, which paints some pretty cool tones.

Most bikes offer a choice so it would be really nice if Yamaha offered 2 colors for a change on the FJR.

I could see a red to maroon as one and maybe another hue of blue being nice..

+1! I would like to see a "Vandy" Yellow. And maybe a "ticket me red" as an option. They've beat the blues and silvers to death, and black isn't a color. It's the absence of color.

I strongly suspect the colors will be a white and a sand-gold or bronze. Neither color has been used in the US and both are extremely popular.

So funny, Fred: I was going to say the same exact thing about the absence of color. Respectfully disagreeing with the white prediction, Braenen, but I really doubt they're going to make white, for some reason. Anyone for a Honda Pacific Coast? I wouldn't be surprised at all to see a gold hue of some sort.

The Vandy yellow bike looks really sharp, and I could see it happening. Would they really go with a maroon/red when the Honda ST was that color in 2008? If they're still going to build the AE, then once again, they'll probably make that one color, and the standard another color.

(If they made an orange AE, I would trade my blue '05 in for it. The problem, though, is that I have been seeing AE models relisted on eBay several times and dealers trying to get rid of them at what appears to be a significant loss -- like $11,000 for a $16,000 bike. I wouldn't be surprised to see Yamaha abandon the AE, unfortunately. I'm really intrigued to try one.)

Actually black is all colors.....white is the absence of color...how 'bout a camo or chrome motif? :dribble:
