Hi,

Got this from a friend - seems to take the auto tranny concept to be more-inclusive (judging from the YouTube video) by giving you either full manual or full auto or a mix of both. Purported for the 2010 VFR1200.

See for yourself at the video below.

Cheers! Luis

[Edit]

I like the part showing how stable the motorcycle is when shifting - cool concept. Would be very useful when downshifting and carrying a passenger (to help prevent helmet bumps..).

It's the same thing as has been used in cages for years. It's also mentioned in the VFR1200 thread(s), as it's premiering on it. Neat as it is, I don't want anything taking controls out of my hands (and feet). That's half of what I like about riding.

Honestly, I'd buy a bike with suicide shift before one with buttons.

It seems to be a good step in that direction for those inclined.

The Full Auto mode seems out of place on a sporting bike , but when stuck in nasty traffic it would be an option.

I like it! The vid shows the slickness behind the concept. Why not? You have all options from full manual to full auto and then the hybrid of the two. I think I'd like the paddle shift mode the best. I bet... on the track the paddle/clutchless mode is the fastest!

STEP OFF YOU NAY SAYERS! :p

Scott
