I'm going Thurs. and hitting the speedway on Fri. morning then up to Jax. for the IBA shindig and see other friends from MTF and ST-Owners so may see some Feejers there too. Be on my 08 FJR for this ride.

I am in too. Heading up Wednesday for riders meeting. Been sick, so hope the "Legends ride" will

snap me out of this funk. The route is all too famillar...a walk in the park. Using the ride for a equipment

check for all my new gear. If this cold snap comes Thursday (As expected) we may be

in for a cool one. Hoping to meet some riders and meet Ron Ayres (Whom I will see again in Hyder)

I am a little nervous about not knowing the Legends... much less anyone else. Least we will have

the CCC group there! Daytona on Saturday. See you there Jim and Wade!

See you there Jim and Wade!
Be good to meet up again! The Legends ride looks pretty good; worst part will be the timing of getting through Orlando. It looks like if you're anything but in the last group it will put you there in the biggest part of the morning rush. If you have a sunpass, bring it; going around on the greenway is ~18 miles extra but may be worth it.

I went over the mileages between stops trying to figure out fuel; we can go over it all tomorrow night. The bike is already packed!

Had a great time in Jax! Got to meet and talk to Smitty; didn't meet DoctorJ. 101st met me at an exit near my house on I-95 and we rode up together.

The Legends 1000 ride was a great time; the route was Jax-Daytona-Tampa-Ocala-Chiefland-Tallahassee-Pensacola-Tallahasse-Jax; We were going through Orlando right at peak morning rush hour, I got separated from 101st there and didn't catch up with him until the 2nd Tallahassee stop! I ran it in 16 hrs, which I thought was a pretty good pace considering the extra stops (checkpoints) plus fuel stops.

Meeting the legends was a thrill. If you think you're getting pretty good at doing distance, meet these folks. It's humbling to be around people that have absolutely outstanding LD accomplishments!

Smitty gave me a good idea or two on things I need/want to do to my bike. I know I have to get off my a** and get that Audiovox cruise installed; the throttlemeister just ain't cuttin' it for a longer trip like this, plus it loosened up (again) making it basically useless the last ~150 miles. I was glad to talk to Smitty about this and get some reassurance on the install.

I didn't take alot of pics, but do have some. I'll get them downloaded and posted.

+1...... Great time. I felt like a kid in a candy store walking through the parking lot and looking at everyones

set-up on their bikes! Thanks Jim and Smitty and Wade for making it even more enjoyable.

But now you have fed my interest in Denver. Thanks again!

Damn. Almost made it to Daytona this year. Bummed I didn't. :(

Sorry you didn't make it G. We had fun once we stopped crying that you didn't make it. My hair is very long. Considering.

If I had to choose between Jax and Gerlach, Gerlach would win every time. So consider yourself lucky!

Even tacking on the Keys to Bikeweek, Gerlach is hard to beat!

Made it home on Monday evening after a nice visit with my daughter in Atlanta. It was great to meet and make some new friend and see my old ones. IBA @ Jax. is a fun time. Sorry Skoot didn't make it, maybe next year buddy.

It was great to meet 101stpathfinder, fljab and a few others FJR guys and forum members....

On the way home I went the long way and ended up in Louiseville Ky. to look at a Wee Strom.... After the 4 1/2 hour ride home and thinking about it.... I bought a plane ticket and landed in Louseville Tuesday morning. A FJR owner and fellow member picked me up and a hour later I was on my way to Hooterville with my new to me 2004 Suzuki 650 V Strom...

Life is good in Hooterville.

I figured you were going to end up with that after talking to you at Jax! I know how it is when (another) bike gets to weighing on ya....

Have fun! I wish I had somewhere good to ride a bike like that down here without having to ride 2 days to get there.
