Been looking for a second bike dont know what direction to take street fighter to ride with my two sons or something like a v strom or a versy. Confused, what do you guys ride for fun other than the FJR?

2007 Weestrom - it scratches my dirt itch.
And if you keep scratching it, it'll never heal. :p

Here's my "street scratch"

What the Z1000 wishes it was.....

They don't sell it here, but I always wanted a Z750. Same concept as the Z1000, but didn't have the issue of if the bike ever gets dropped it cracks the crank case, resulting in walking home. Also, dropping a Z1000 dents the tank, which also doesn't happen on the 750. I talked to a few owners of both bikes, and they liked their 750's better... kinda like how people with the WeeStrom and the V-Strom 1000 tend to favor the WeeStrom for its handling.

I have a WeeStrom. It's a great all round bike, but if you want something for more offroad work, I think there's plenty of bikes out there that will fill the void better than a WeeStrom can.

Yamaha baby Yamaha! Here's my 08 FZ1 I bought in the spring. Plenty of used ones out there for little $$ and big fun factor.

Not to mention Brembo brakes, USD Ohlins forkset, Ohlins monoshock, welds that look like they were done by a blind monkey, dealer network that rivals a Tucker Torpedo franchise and a $600 service every 6,000 miles.

High maintenance woman. But OH so pretty. Much like our resident population of ladies. :p

They're only expensive if you pay the shops to do the work. And they are no more difficult to work on than any Jap bike. Some things are easier with those heads hanging out in the open and all.

But be honest, Fred...you're a wire-wizard and a wrench-wrangler. Most folks can't poor piss out of a boot with the instructions written on the sole.

My duck was an air cooled, 2 valve, Monster 750. It really was that simple to work on,

And even though it would have to be considered a "base" model desmo, it was still quite sexy IMO.

Yep, here'd be my (current) pick:

New, fairly up-to-date, decent power-to-weight, nice price, and "Mike the Bike" livery (among many other choices).
