25,571 mi in 2010 :yahoo:

this is a new thread for a forum mileage tracking:

Guidelines for 2011.

- There will be 2 categories, Seasonal Riders and Year Round Riders.

Year Round Riders will be your total mileage for the year.

Seasonal Riders will be 6 consecutive months of your choosing.

- Starting Point: At your start of the contest you must take a picture of your odometer with a cell phone or news paper in the same picture showing the date. Once you post the picture that will be your official start.

- Mileage updates should be posted up on a monthly or bi-monthly basis using the same method as your starting point.

-Include your year to date miles and any other (monthly?, quarterly?) mile facts you wish

(Might be cool if you want to determine what month of the year was the highest or lowest miles, etc.)

Year Round Riders can start the clock on Jan 1

Good Luck and Good Riding...most importantly...LET'S RIDE SAFE AND BE CAREFUL OUT THERE...

Was not on the ball before new years but was thinking about a similar thing. I'm working on a webApp for FJRRally.com that will track such results; display tables of current 'standings' and graph individual and cumulative information; include a form for easy updating; and even a mobile app for updating right from your smartphone. Get your data uploaded here and I'll try and get the webApp functional as soon as possible!

I'll post my pic shortly!

Trouble is, you can't trust anybody using a digital camera and a computer

Ahhh, while that is somewhat true, I figure we can trust the fine folks of the FJR community.

and, besides, I didn't see anything about this being a contest... [until I looked at the older thread... but those references were stroked out] so what would be the point of 'cheating'?

Well, I'll play. Here we go:

I did about 36,500 miles last year. 8500 on the poor Dirty Ol Whore before her demise, and about 28,000 on FJR#2. I have no idea how much riding I'll be doing this year. Probably a lot less. Other priorities will be interfering me thinks. :(

While I appreciate some good humor as much as the next guy, lets try to keep this thread on topic folks. The OP felt he needed to start this second thread after the first one got trashed and off-topic. Feel free to go to that one and post whatever you like.

Sorry, bad day. Confusion over needing proof (photo with date) and trust. Oh, well, back to the bad day.

If'n we have 2 motorsickles that we ride on a regular basis, can we post 2 pics and track both bikes? Or is this for FJRs only?

I'll Play!

At the end of 2010, my 2007 FJR had 45,145 miles on it. I bought it brand new the end of august 2007, so that calculates out to an average of 1129 miles per month or 13548 miles per year. I know, I'm a slacker putting in so few miles per year.

And I'm a double slacker because I have no picture to prove my mileage. To atone for my sin, can I add another farkle to my cockpit to appease Patriot? :p

I will be entering this later this year. Last year I started riding in March after the two back to back Blizzards got done dumping on us. But I bought my 04 with 14k on it. And as it sits it has 22k on it. So I think after a year of ownership I felt pretty good. But this year will be more riding and have some decent trips. So I am really looking forward to what I do.

I rode 12,500 miles in 2010. Sorry no pic, you'll have to take my word.

I have an 07 bought new in early 07 with just under 40,000 on it.

I'll play, but it will be several weeks until the bike is put back together to the point where the ODO will even work. Thanks for starting this thread.

I'll be in for the 6 month gig. :clapping:

Between Kali, EOM and trips with the son...should be a fun year. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
