Is there any guidance provided anywhere on how much tension to apply? When I had the nose off (my '07) a number of years ago, I cleaned up the mechanism, lubed lightly and slightly snugged the tension. On one hand, you don't want it too tight which could bind or cause premature wear on the plastic rollers and bearings. On the other hand, if it is too loose, it will slip and not move up as easily. On my bike, I didn't tighten it quite enough and ended out that the windshield worked OK sitting still but when riding anything over 40 mph or so, it would slip and not move due to extra resistance from the pressure of the wind on the shield. OK once I slowed down (or gave it some manual assist while riding).
