You have been added to the list, see you thereAdd me to the list of campers. I fully intended to make it from the get-goIm really surprised that there hasnt been a much larger interest in this event. Maybe as it gets closer more will chime in.
and went straight to the planning stage and forgot to register.
I'll see everyone there.

There will be several of us with Jetboils going, so I am sure there will be coffee available.Coffee is my only other gotta have. I'm assuming it will be at the campstore.
I gotta have my morning coffee ASAP. I'll do without a lot of things, but that isn't one of them. I love my little camp stove. I'm gonna have to come up with a decent way to mark the propane cans though. I'm sure I've got both of them in use at the same time. There will be several of us with Jetboils going, so I am sure there will be coffee available.
With the temps we've been having, it might as well be...67 & sunny today, 70 & sunny tomorrow, 71 & a chance of rain ThursdayIs it May yet?
Will you need extra time off if you get lost...or is that factored into the scheduled time off?On another note, and back on topic. I was approved for the time off today. 2 days down, 2 days there and 2 days back. Which gives us a bit of extra time to hit some of SE Ohio and WV to break up the trip...
No, that includes lost time. I plan on getting seriously lost and ride twisties till I puke. In fact, I scoffed a cool little icon from ST.n that you won't get to display.Just kidding...tell me to get lost off if you like.
I was thinkin a length of rope would be a good idea. Hopefully we wont get wet but we might want a clothes line. Just a thought. You beat me to my next post - what are the camping necessities? I'm sure there is plenty of motocamping info out there that I plan on searching, but if anybody has suggestions let's hear them.Might wanna pack a sleeping pad there Will...yer not as young as you used to be...plus it will insulate you from a coldish ground temperature in May.
Being a former cabin *****, yer gonna need all the help you can get to be comfy...including extra Jack to fall asleep to.
That's a good idea. I found some great lists on various websites and finding I have more of the stuff than I thought. Of course my tent is a four person and my air mattress is for two and it's all older and bulkier. No pillion, so plenty of room to pack.I was thinkin a length of rope would be a good idea. Nor have I. Thugs aren't known for being campers but, you never know. Like Will said, anything of value should be kept with you. <_<Never had any issue leaving stuff in my tent.
That's why they put those bear beer lockers at some of the campgrounds in the Smokies...keeps the Canadians away from it. There's nothing worse than a rampaging Canadian on the prowl for beer in the middle of the night; those lockers are lifesavers! :lol:I know some Canadians stole Beemerdon's stash of good beer in a campground outside of Nakusp, BC.
So watch out for Canadians...or Canadians and beer.
Of course, "they" weren't a problem down at the Appalacian Camping Meet...so maybe it's just the bad Canadians you have to worry about.
