2012 Breaks Interstate Camping Trip, May 18-20

Bled the brakes and clutch yesterday. Speeed bleeders rock! Doesn't get any easier than that. (well short of paying someone else to do it!) Last thing will be new front tire if my tire pressure sensor arrives and then mount and wire the TPMS.

I am really pumped about this trip! First campout of the year. Four day weekend. Getting to see my old riding peeps and meeting some new. Today and the next two are going to go by sooooo sloooowww!

2nd campout this year for me. Did BRMC a month ago to "test" the equipment. Friday off, oil changed, pumpkin oil changed, and rear tire changed...ready!

Scott, Heidi, Jay and I are hooking up in South Boston around 11 AM and then meeting Joe in Hillesville around 1330. You could shoot up 29 and meet us if you are heading out thursday.

Hmm, well, I had planned on leaving Friday, but my boss just told me I could split Thursday. As long as my neighbor can watch the dog one day earlier (they should be ok with it), then I'm a go! Do I need to see about reserving a spot at HMSP or is there still room with the spot splits mentioned earlier?

Burnspot, you may need to make a reservation unless we pick someone else up that wants to meet there. I think that Bob & Janet are splitting with Joe & I'm splitting with Jay. I think that Art (Roadrunner) is planning to meet us there. You may check with him. HMSP's sites are $26 including the tax. I'd definitely check with Roadrunner.

Ahhh, I'd forgotten about Mike! Do you thing that buying him a Red Bull for Friday morning consumption will spark his attention into being ready to leave the campground when everyone else is ready to go?

I am also in touch with a local friend who may be interested in riding with us. I will let you know if he's interested in joining us for the weekend.

Awesome! We are meeting at the Sheetz at the corner of 501 and 58/360 at 1130. We will be heading towards Danville. There is a Subway on the westbound side just before the airport. We could probably be there 1200-1215. We then plan to stop for roadside picninc lunch at Lover's Leap on 58.

Not always Bob. Last year on the way home from the campout I was riding with Mike and I got a screw in my rear tire, and I used Mikes string to fix it.

Yeah , I still want to know what's in those cigars. :blink:
