2012 Side Bags

[ZOOOMM AGAIN]

Can some one who owns a 2012 FJR with the black lid protectors on the side cases look and see if there are (3) screws holding the rubber protectors on to the lid? The parts diagram does not show screws even on the 2014 side cases and we have personally seen the screws on the 2014.

The rubber "Yamaha" bumpers that run across the center? Those are glued on. No screws.

Thanks for your response, however I see you own a 2007. Because the 2014 has screws, I was hoping that a later model (say a 2012 that has the black rubber) might just have screws like the 2014.

No screws on mine , they look stuck on to me, I checked inside the case too

The bags are the same from year to year. There may have been some change for the GenIII bikes but I doubt it. Since a 2012 is the same Gen as a 2007, it doesn't matter what year I own...The bags are the same.

AND the 2013 parts fiche doesn't show any screws for the bags. The bumpers glue on those just like they have since 2002. If there were screws in those 2014 bags, I bet someone screwed that up.

Thanks bwv. Apparently Yamaha has added three little screws on the 2014's to help hold the side bumpers on.
