I would like to install handlebar risers. I do not want to disconnect hydraulic lines but would like a riser or setback. I would like to know the limitations of a riser and/or a riser setback for my 2013 FJR?

The GenMar bar risers are a 1 inch rise and do not require disconnecting any hoses.

The HeliBar Bridge has a lot more rise and setback with the added benefit of adjustability of angle/width/setback but they require a hydraulic hose extension for the brake line.

Honestly, adding the hose extension was the easiest part of the entire installation. Removing the top triple clamp and removing the 36mm steering stem nut are the two biggest aggravations of the job. Compared to all of that, adding the hose extension took no time or effort. You have to do that whether you chose the bar risers or the bridge.

The other options are the MV Motoradd which has an very extensive thread here and the MCL riser which requires replacing the top triple clamp and drilling out the ignition retention screw.

A Google Search of this forum will net you all of the pics and instructions you could possibly want.

MV Motoradd

Installed on my 15ES provides more then ample amount of rise and pull back + swing adjustment.

Came from Germany very quickly and was very easy to install...

My kid got me the MCL's for Christmas: https://www.motorcyclelarry.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=27

I put them on the next day, takes a little more than an hour.

I also put on the new N20308 VStream windshield that my wonderful wife got me:

And then I went out for a bowl of chili or anything but ham:
