With the 2013 WSBK season just a few months away I thought that having a thread that was dedicated to all things WSBK would make it easy to have all race info in place. To start things off who do you predict to be in the top three for WSBK in 2013?

Being that Skyes only lost last year by .5 points i think that he is going be out for a championship this year.

Melandri may give Sykes some heat. Melandri's been very good at times, but a crasher.

It hard to believe that WSBK starts next weekend! I was really looking forward to it until i read this!! poop on speed is all i'm saying! On other WSK news the new pave job in Phillip Island is getting good reviews but the lack of rubber laid down is causing some traction issues. clicky.

Hey Brady, I agree, Poop on Speed. But I believe DORNA, who now runs both MotoGP and WSBK has something to do with this. I'm starting to think DORNA wants World Superbike to fail so there will be more interest and sponsor money for MotoGP. And it sure doesn't help that Fox Sports now owns Speed. Plan to see more ball and stick sports on Speed along with the multiple hours of action packed car auctions. There were some posts about Speed and WSBK on another forum I frequent and one guy said that WSBK races will be aired for free on the Vipbox.tv website. I went to the website but could not find the WSBK icon to click on and they wanted me to download something from their site. I'm pretty skeptical and not a computer wiz so I decided not to. This definitely sucks for race fans. Speed and the AMA/DMG don't even have a contract except for the Daytona bike week races. DAMN IT, It's gonna be a crappy year for race coverage on the tv.

I don't even know where to turn to watch the race. Speed isn't gonna carry WSBK, who is in the USA?

fjrgary you bring up a great point. DORNA is corporate evil IMO!! They are self serving in every capacity of their decisions and are doing no favors for motorcycle racing. No offense to NASCAR fans but every year GP/WSBK are getting more and more lame with spec tires and even more restrictions. I think about WSBK 4-5 years ago.. WOW what great racing with Bayliss, Haga, Toseland all fighting for the championship. There where also a full line of manufactures involved. I think Yamaha was smart to pull out with the changes that are being mad but I still was sorry to see them go. I hope that WBSK does not become a casualty of corporate and personal ego but as a huge fan of racing that sees the signs im concerned that it will be.

On the brighter side of life here is a good preview write up of the 2013 WSBK season.

+1 No WSBK or AMA Superbike

Oh boy, looks like the rumor mill currently has Al Jazeera owned Current TV being in the mix to broadcast WSBK in the US. Talk about irony! Alwhore's former little green cable channel showing the the tire smoking, hydrocarbon burning race bikes is too rich!

Problem is, my cable provider, Cox cable, doesn't have current TV, at least I don't think they do.
