I am continually astounded by the number of "men" who will make a motorcycle buying decisions based on the color of the bike.

Red is just a color. Do I like it on the '14? Sure, but mostly because it is different from the other years. If they made it green or yellow or pretty much anything but blue silver and black (which have been overused) it would have been fine.

So Fred, just so we're clear: You're astounded by the number of "men" who will make a buying decision based on colour when that decision isn't to avoid buying a blue, silver, or black bike?

No, that is not what I said. I'd buy a silver, black or blue bike no problem. I actually have two silvers and a bass bote blue one in the garage right now. I just said that it was nice that they picked a different color this year. Wouldn't stop me from, nor give me incentive toward, buying one.

Don't be like that Fred. Different things matter to different people. I guess I am a different people... Since the bike is an object of beauty to me and I enjoy looking at it, color does complete the package. Often the different colors completely transform the look of a bike. While I agree that it does not affect the ride or the performance, it does affect whether or not I will spend my money to own it.

Of course, the FJR is one of those rare machines that look good regardless of color. Sort of the way Sofia Vergara would be gorgeous in any bikini no matter what color...

Whatzup with that, she used to be really smoking hot good looking until she chose that color. Heck after seeing her in blue Skooter is starting to look pretty good

JK, I'm petty much a function over form guy, though if it looks good too it's a bonus. There would have to be something seriously wrong with the color(s) for it to make a difference in a decision to buy or not to buy.

About the only color that would cause me to NOT want a vehicle would be purple. But a woman can wear purple and look just fine wearing it, so it clearly isn't a problem with the color, just the color on a bike or car.

But I'm just a northeastern elitist fan of the world champion Boston Red Sox snob, so you should take my opinions with a few grains of salt.
