Read here a comment that the 2014 ECU will enable a 2013 cc > 80 mph?

Has that been confirmed in real life?

Whoops. Be careful with this list. Shipping and Handling prices vary greatly... also, many of these listed are in fact the same company selling the same part for different prices.

Talk about buyer beware..

The ECU solution is twice the cost of a Murphs (AVCC) and around half the price of a MC Cruise.

Can any of youse Gen 3 guys confirm that your FJR has an OBD II port? Flashie, flashie, POOF, speed limit has been changed.

No OBD port.

But the 3rd Gen cruise works so much better than the audiovox it is worth 3x the cost, IMO.

The Yamaha cruise control with the 3rd Gen Fly-By-Wire throttle control isolates the throttle from the right hand grip during cruise. When you are "set" on cruise you have to turn the right grip quite a bit before it will disengage, or accelerate. In other words, it doesn't just happen by leaning on the grip. This was one of my big gripes about the AVCC. Anyone with a 2013 that opted for an AVCC over the upgraded ECU would be very foolish. Again, just my opinion.

Of course, whether you can live with a 80 mph cruise limit only you can answer.

Not only that but with the YCC-T the AVCC will be almost impossible to install based on how the grip throttle assembly works. The cables go to a controller module and it is highly unlikely that it will accept a cruise control cable attachment.

Dang it. I rode 400 miles yesterday and forgot to put the cc on.

Dang Yamaha should put a blinky light on the cruise so people remember to use it! When will they get with the 23rd century!
