2015-06-04 Heat Shield Repair

Many items have failed since the deer strike including electrical connectors, radiator catch tanks, etc. Another example is the heat shield that sits above the radiator. Over a year ago, discovered it was cracked.. and fixed, it, Creston Calif style..

Since some downtime exists due to waiting for a radiator... ordered a new used piece from ebay.. 15 USD.

It arrived in good shape.. only the stupid rubber trim gasket was loose. Yeah.

Where it fits... will find a pix later to show final install.

Not really a heat shield, Don. It's cowling for the radiator to force more air to pass through the rad and not take a short cut over the top. You know that lazy air, always taking the path of least resistance... ;)
