I finally got my 2004 FJR in for a valve adjustment check at a little over 27,000 miles and everything was within specs. Also had the oil and filter changed, the coolant flushed and replaced, a new air cleaner, and the rear drive fluid replaced. The total for labor and parts for all was just over $400! I thought this was a bargain. The dealer replaced the TPS sensor under the recall at no charge.

Congratulations! Is this the machine or what. Now we can have a confident spring season just waiting to be tackled.

I just had mine in for the same thing @35kmiles and it was in spec. as well. The only thing the tech changed out was the cam chain tensioner. It was not out but suggested a replacement and YES covered it....how could one complain about that. It sure runs quieter now.

+1 Yamaha

Glad I'm not the only one! I just had my 27K Valve adjustment done, at 32K. The only non-routine thing needing attention was removal of a spare key on a wire, by the previous owner, which had slipped down deep inside somewhere it didn't ought to be.
