3 Pass Blast

Well it's that time of year again to ride the passes! The 3 pass blast is a multi group ride that has been going on for a long time. The 3 passes are Snoqualimie Pass, Blewitt Pass, lunch in Cashmere at Country Boys BBQ and Steven's Pass. Country Boys BBQ receives the date of the ride and is always ready for a large group of bikes with lots of staff on hand and great food. The meet up for the ride is in North Bend at Ken's truck stop. This is for several reasons but mainly because of a huge parking lot for gathering, a restaurant there and a few gas stations. KIck stands are up at 10:00. There are a lot of groups that take off at different times. You ride at your own pace and in the group that you want to ride with. Different groups take different routes depending on if they want to ride the slab straight there, want to make stops, etc. What usually happens is there's one or two larger groups that end up pulling out around the same time, ride the speed limit and enjoy the ride with lots of smaller groups leaving at different times. It's a fun day ride and an opportunity to meet up with a bunch of people on a ride.

Well the weather held for us and the ride was great. Lots of friends that came and a good turn out. I ended the day with 465 miles and enjoyed the ride. Sorry no pictures. As it turns out I like to ride and ride too fast on the FJR to take pictures. Maybe someday I will get a go pro or something but other than that I just move along and enjoy the ride with a smile on my face.
