Wow, the miles keep on a rollin' by - life IS good.

Just passed 30k on Wabs, Twowheelnut's old bike, a 07 DL650 Suzuki.

We celebrated by taking a new dirt road home, climbing a pretty good sized hill, then crossing a pretty nasty sand wash.

Wabs still wants to go to Alaska though...

Very nice. I miss my 09 WABS from time to time...okay, anytime I pass a FS road up here. Had a smidge under 20k on the clock when I sold it in August last year. Not sure how many miles the new owner has racked up since.

Wish I had the money to own both the FJR and a DL650 again.

Do it.

I dare ya....

:)

Don, good for WABS and you taking care of it in the absence of TWN.

Being like you and owning both an FJR and an WeeStrom, I am surprised that more FJR riders haven't discovered and accepted the many advantages of DL 650 ownership. Maybe I feel this way as I am a "Vintage Rider" and like the lighter weight and handling advantages of the Wee. Comments requested!!

After putting 65k on my 05 I sometimes miss the strom. Great bikes! Usually I miss the jesse bags the most. The storage on the FJR is weak compared to those puppies.

The 650 is bulletproof. The 1000 on the other hand is plagued with problems - or so it seems as that's all the guys over on stromtrooper seem to talk about.

I have an SV650 myself. 28K miles and climbing.

I've not ridden a manly strom as I'm too gurlie. But I will say I can hustle the dl around goat road tight corners a whole lot faster than the FJR!
