Anybody else following Dan Simmonds' attempt to reach Alaska in 6 days (after hitting the lower 48)?

I attempted a 4 corners 48/10 plus Alaska but one of the bikes in the group fell ill in Washington and we had to bail on the 49th state. I want to redo the 48/10 and add in Alaska. I was able to get 48 done in 9 days with 3 of the 4 four corners. The ride could have been smoother but would try it again.

I don't see where he entered Indiana. I would assume he would take a quick trip into Indiana near Cincinnati, but there does not seem to be a point in that state on his Spot track. I'm sure he has a receipt!

Yes, I am following Dan and as if this evening he is back on track after the first day and a half was spent riding in heavy rain.

He did indeed miss Indiana on his first attempt (East-West). On his second attempt (West-East) he was able to pull it off in just under 6 days (roughly 5d23h). Incredible ride for sure!!

Hell of a ride! Dan is sure making a name for himself and making this LD riding stuff look easy.

Don't know how he does this. Love watching him do it though.
