Well we got it done,Mr Blue57 and my self left San Diego on March 9th at 5:00 am

headed for Jacksonville, coast to coast in under 50 hrs with a BBG 1500 miles in under 24. The BBG we did in 23 stopping in Baytown Tx for a 5 hr nap then on to Jacksonville Fla, we arrived in Jacksonville Fla at 2:30 am on friday morning . We did the ride in under 42hrs. We hit rain in Alpine on I 8 then in New Mexico we hit tail winds with blowing dust on into Tx we got two tanks of gas over 270miles to each tank. Great ride but not sure which we will do next?

Oh yeah! nice work. I am planning a BBG this fall, figure I will get gas about every 200 miles. Is that about what you did? Do you know what you average MPG was excluding that great tail wind? Just looking for a few trip details.

One of the Great Lakes rides would be a good "next one". You can shoot for the 50 hr version then if the weather turns to crap or you get lost in O'Hare airport at 0300 (don't ask how I know) you can still get a the 100 hr version. It's about 100 miles further and 1/2 of it is two lane and I'll bet the scenery is a bit better than I-10. There' s always a UCC or a 48+ :D

Congrats on a great ride

We figured our gas stops at 240, and I was sweating the first one as it started flashing at 197 and still had gas left, put it 5.29 gals. Would'nt want to that very often and depends on what speed your running, we went out for a ride yesyerday doing a little over 300 miles it started flashing at 237 but we were running back roads and such. Left Rancho Cucamonga rode I 15 to hwy 76 towards Mount Palomar to hwy 79 turned left t cutoff for Borrego Springs then out the other end to Salton Sea turn'nd left on hwy86 to I 10 and on home. Then fought rush hour traffic.

When I read the title, I thought it meant 50cc engine size!

anyone who can do a bbg with a 50cc engine must be a badass!

Hey Roger according to your report you got to Florida an hour and a half before you left California. You must have a time machine. :p

Good job guys! :eek:k:

I've been dreaming of a time I can take enough time off to do a 100ccc, or even just a 50cc but alas, I can never seem to pull it off.
