I'm figuring out "the plan" for my trip out west next month - I'm attempting a 50CC and a BBG within the ride.
What I'll need is someone with a IBA # that is willing to meet me at a specific gas station @ ~ +/- 0400 on Monday, July 11. I haven't got the station yet, need to make calls to verify that they'll be open, but there's a list of them on:

I realize it's a Monday so it's alot to ask, but thought I'd throw this out as a prearranged witness sure does make it easier esp. when you're body + mind is fatigued!
IBA requires:
> ONE IBA #'d witness, or
> ONE police/firefighter, or
> TWO motorcycle dealership employees, or
> THREE independent witnesses.
I'm looking to leave my house early on July 9th (Saturday), heading to Jax beach for a prearranged witness (haven't asked yet, but have 2 friends there that ought to do it). From Jax I'm looking to go to Winnie, TX (I 10 exit 829) and spend the night.
I still have calls to make, but this appears good because:
> it's a little over 1500 miles from Ocean Beach/San Diego for the BBG,
> gets me through Houston & San Antonio on a Sunday morning,
> allows me to get through the deer-infested panhandle of FL and West TX in daylight,
> West TX 80 mph speed limit!,
> get through NM/AZ/CA deserts during the cooler night, and
> get into San Diego before the Monday morning rush.
I was also hoping for a full moon, but that isn't until July 15th, but it should be 1/2 or better.
I will have a spot tracker and I have cellphone/bluetooth comm in my helmet, so you'll be able to verify that I'm on track to be there on time and exactly when that time is.
I had originally wanted to leave on July 8th (Friday) which would have put me in SD on Sunday, but the last launch of both Atlantis and any space shuttle is on that day; I have my cousin and his wife coming over for the night to see that so need to stick around.
These are the only certs I'm attempting on this trip. I'll stick around San Diego for a day or two to visit family, rest up, and catch up on my Carne Asada burrito/rolled tacos/hot carrot quota. I'll be flower sniffin' after that to Tri-cities, Washington, then over to Big Sky, Montana, then home.
