After seeing hids on display at NAFO I decided it was time to take the plunge. Purchased the 35w slim ballast kit off from ebay, and then found this, a 50w slim ballast kit. More is better, and I have 15w to spare so let there be light! B)
The installation will have to wait, but I thought a comparison of the ballasts might be in order:
They are exactly the same size. The other advantage to the 50w ballasts in the link is that you get this with it:
must be a good luck charm or something
The 50w ballasts are supposed to have some kind of coating on them to keep the heat down, they definitely have something on them, we will see I guess. Anybody want some 35w hids cheap?
