Ok, I'll admit I don't have much luck with search features on these forums....so I'll just ask. I ordered a motion pro carb tuner for the TBA. Where can I find the specs with no manual? Oil...I know this horse gets beaten into ground meat on every forum, but what is the most common used in these bikes? I would think any type of motorcycle-specific oil would be ok, syn or dino. Are there any car oil filters that cross reference, and, if so, I'm assuming they work ok? And the valve adjustment....does it need done at 600 or sometime after that?. And other than going over all of the nuts and bolts, am I missing anything? Thanks for any help I can get.

I believe this is the bin-o-facts for your model this should help you get on track. As for the valves, I don't think they needed to be checked until 26-28k miles....bummer huh!

Valves need no service for 24-26k miles. Oil... well that's a real popular subject, many opinions, I use Shell 10-40 synthetic, good & cheap too. For other items see the Bin 'O Facts & the other FAQ info, in the FAQ folders...
