Having issues with the existing 90 degree valve stem on my front wheel & am looking to replace it with another METAL one. I don't want to buy a whole set. Does anyone have just 1 they'd like to part with for a reasonable price?

Heidi

PS... the 90d valve stems are the kitty's *******. I did not have a functional breakdown of the original design. The valve stem was swapped from my old rim & put on my new rim using RTV since the original rubber was screwed. After my most recent tire change I found the valve turned around from its original 90d position. It appears to have broken the seal of the RTV which lasted for a goodly long time & I am now experiencing a slow leak.

Actually, that is what I'm looking for. I'm looking for silver & only 1, though. Much thanks for pointing these out.

Heidi, I think buying a pair of stems is a better idea for you. When the rubber o-rings wear out you really need to replace them. Using RTV is really not a good idea. They last a long time, but once you have had one failure, the second is not that far behind. So for a fraction of the cost of a tire-mounting fee, you can have brand new valve stems and peace of mind. Make a $18 offer on these and you'll have a spare?.

Thanks for the advice. I am taking all of the words to mean that none of you have an extra that you'd like to sell to me.

Anyone else?

Check with Alex Kogan at Misahcycles.com. Cougar9000 or maybe 8000...Anyway, I know he has them and I think he will sell them individually. If you want his phone number, PM me

Does he have a website? If not, then I'll be PMing you for a phone #.

Also, is anyone aware of what the correct size is for the FJR?

You want the 11.3mm valve set. We found it was necessary to separate the rubber seal from the valve and position it into the wheel rim, then install the valve. Everything went together tight and sealed perfectly.

Fortunately, I had expert help.

If you still have the original valve stem and all you need is the seal, have a look here

Don
