Finally it has really come down to a better price.

Today, 01 Sep, in my area (between Kingston and TO) it hit 89.6 cents/litre. :yahoo:

It has been in the 90's for a little while but I hope this trend continues.

How you guys doin ?

So, you believe that <.90 is the new .56? If that's the case, then they've done exactly what they set out to do, which is to recalibrate your sense of what constitutes a good price for gasoline.

For our American cousins, that would be $2.50 is the new $1.20

[sarcasm on]

In NY it's dropped way down.... all the way to $2.95 in my area. Boy that cheap gas makes me want to go out and drive my 8 cylinder truck more often.

[/sarcasm off]

It amazes me when I hear that people are still buying new cars with big engines. It looks like we'll be paying $5.00 or more before we learn. The price of gasoline doesn't bother me as much as the corresponding rise in fuel oil prices to heat my home.

Hell no, they haven't fooled me. I was born a few decades ago, not a few days ago.

I want it to continue dropping, but 89 is better than 119.

It will never get back to prices prior to the insanity though, but some other fuel can.

Gas this morning on the way to work: reg. $2.51 :glare:

Still way to much, but better, it was about $2.80 three weeks ago

Still at 3.30 - 3.50 per gallon of regular here in Santa Babs. Stations have discontinued the free jar of Vaseline with every fill-up, but now offer a sharpened broom handle with purchases of 10 gallons or more.

Took a trip along the Oregon Coast yesterday. Thought I'd wait and see if I could beat the $2.89 9/10ths a gallon I saw, then ended up filling the tank for 3.05 9/10ths further down the road. On the ride home I saw $2.78 9/10ths near the State House in Salem (figures). Here in Roseburg it runs $2.93 9/10ths.

What is it with the 9/10ths they tack on? Why not a whole number?

Gotta go fill my F150 for $90 before I pick up the kids......... still cheaper than buying a new one. At least I commute and play with a supersport bike that gets 40+ mpg (if I take it easy).......

Got regular unleaded for $2.48/gallon last Friday when I went to get that 62 quarts of Mobile 1 MX4T for $1/quart.

Have to admit I'm glad it's going down. But even $1.20 is a lot when considering that it used to be $0.29/gallon back when I got my first car.

--update--

it was $2.21 when i topped off today. still going down, but not far enough yet.

--update--

figures! it went up over the weekend to $2.25. when it dropped back down to $2.21 yesterday, I topped off. Saw on the way to work today, it was back down to $2.16. I know they didn't get new fuel during this time. They just jacked their price up for the weekend and then back down mid-week.

Why can't you canadiens come up with some kind of water powered scoot for us oil hungry clowns in the south?

I said "hungry", twn....not thirsty. Besides....that would be a waste of beer.

Use Bud. You're only problem would be if the EFI recognized it as beer at all.
