Found out George was taking the same two days off as I was (Eye Problems) and we decided to do the Cascade Loop. So here we go!
Picked up George, at 8:00, he looked like the Michelin Man but he wasn't going to get cold!
Not many Pictures headed east on 2 as we were riding into the sun, we did get on the Old Cascade Hy at Money Creek and took it up to SkyKomish.
Stevens Pass Ski area.
Stoped at the rest area by the Lk Wenatchee turn off and this old bird was sitting there, with Alaska plates and the front end covered with bugs.
After the rest area we ran down Chumstick Cannon on Chumstick Hwy to Leavenworth.
Stop for coffee and grabed a couple of shots.
Then on down to Wenatchee so we could head north on 97.
Up 97 on the west side, I usually take the east side as I like it better but G wanted to go to Lk Chelan.
So here are a few shots of Lk Entiat, at least I think it's Entiat. I always forget what Dam I passed and what Lk I'm by.
We took the little pass 971 over to 25 Mile Creek.
Here's a shot coming down looking NW up the Lk.
A couple of more of the Lk, what a beautiful day it was.
We ate at the Apple Cup on the way out of Chelan, and continued up 97 to Pateros.
The confluence of the Methow and the Columbia rivers.
Heading up the Methow Valley they like to remind you about forest rats.
A few more headed north on 153.
Th Methow river at times has stage five rapides I here, not this year though.
A couple of shots of the famous fake town of Winthrop.
Headed west on 20.
Oppsy battery went dead, no more pic's till Diablo. And this is the best part of the trip!
Here we are at the Diablo look out and rest area.
This the entrance to a awesome canyon maybe a mile long that takes you to the base of Ross Lk.
I have been up it twice in my canoe and had the canoe portaged up to Ross, both times were the first
part of October. Autumn up here is beyond words.
I have also taken my family up to the floating resort (ok Cabins) at the same time of year fishing. Good Memory's!
A little more ways down twenty and we'll be headed south on 530 towards Darington.
White Horse mountain.
A dirty windshield means a good day.
Now if I can get one of these bums to ride the OP with me!! See ya next time.
