Nothing like someone writing an article and being wrong right off the bat:

Well, the FJR1300AE is the first production bike to be equipped with a computer-operated clutch and electronic shift actuators that eliminate the need to use the clutch lever - although it is still there if you want it.

.
My "underscore". Funny how none of the pictures I've seen show a clutch lever. Even the one THEY published. What a pack of pinheaded idiots!

After reading the entire article, I can with all honesty say I didn't learn a single new thing and I'd be willing to bet everything written about, even the incorrect stuff, was based on previously published material.

I'm saying they didn't have a 1300 in-house to base the article on. It was lifted (including photos) off Yahama's websites.

What a bunch of talentless wankers.

True no clutch lever. But it still has the toe shifter, and it's my understanding that you can use it instead of the paddle/switch shifter.

The clutch actuation is the cool part. Hell, even I could build a simple paddle shifter to move the lever....

I figured it was brain fart and they meant shift lever but wrote clutch lever. I haven't read a lot about the E model and thought some of the "technical" stuff was interesting if still limited in detail.

These guys write for a web site catalog so I wasn't worried about getting journalistic gold, I just thought some of the items they mentioned were interesting.
