Maybe I was living in a bubble, I'm not sure, but no one had ever suggested or encouraged me to explore the area and it took many years for it to land on my radar. Please do make a trip - there is so much to explore that I'm sure you'll be rewarded! If you need any tips or suggestions of things to see, let me know.
