Thanks alot Jarud

One damned place I didn't know I wanted to visit, and now that I've seen your gorgeous pictures, it is on my travel list......... :D

Looks like you had a fun trip. Can you rent Feejers over there? Just curious.

And welcome!

Very Nice Jarud!

Is your bike a European '03 version or older (turn signals on stalks make it look like it)? It's in remarkably good shape if that's the case...

I'm sure that someone do rental, but the cost of this in Norway is "unbelievable" high compare to the rest of the world :yahoo:

Just to purchase a new FJR here will set you back about 3700$

Nice photos! My weather last June wasn't as sunny, but enjoyed it immensely anyway. Did 2 weeks circle in middle Norway, starting from and ending at Hamburg, Germany (car-train back to home in SW Germany). Here's a link to my trip album, with further comments in the captions:

A good bud of mine lives in Stavanger, and is trying to get me to move there too.. NATO job.. Pix like this make it easier to want too..

Fin fin bilder! Tusen tak for det.

Bestefar min ble foedt i Brevik, og jeg har mange tremenning som bor i norge.

I've enjoyed travelling in Norway too. The building shown on the cliff is a restaurant, or at least it was the last time I was through there. Its a great place to stop and take a break.

I think the price of an FJR would be closer to $37,000 than $3700, largely due to the taxes imposed. I must have missed this thread when it was first posted, but please accept a belated "Velkommen til FJR Forum."

There is a place in Oslo where you can rent BMW's (if you're not one of the guys who thinks they're all gonna leave you stranded by the side of the road), or Harley Davidsons, but its seasonal. The season is typically May through August. Cost is high. If you rent a bike in Germany (maybe you can find a Honda there and avoid the fear of getting stranded on a BMW), it will probably be cheaper. You can ride up through Denmark, and either take a ferry to Norway, or cut across to Sweden and ride the coast on over to Norway. If you take the tunnel under the Oslo Fjord, watch for wet spots. I would rather take a ferry. It gives the ol' final drive a chance to cool down  .

Ha det godt!
