Since I was the winner of one of their donated prizes at EOM. A Power TripTextile Jacket. I have tried to support our sponsor when possible. I purchased a pair of winter pants for me and the wife from the clearance rack. These are waterproof/windproof and have a zip out liner. I used them on the ride last weekend when the temp on the bike said it was 16 degrees. I road at this temp for about 2 hours until the sun popped up. I did not have any heated gear. I had a few shirts on under the jacket and a pair of Draggin Jeans under these pants. I will not say I was warm, but I was not uncomfortable. For $60 Get a pair if you need them.

One comment on the pants though. For me at 6'2 the knee armour sits to high on the leg when on the bike. It works well for my wife. The Jacket is now down to $89 ( I still can't beat Free :yahoo: )

If you need a winter coat/pants, I give a thumbs up on this $150 set.

Disclaimer YMMV.

6'2"? Sheeyat. No wonder you were calling that poor hapless lad out for a 'discussion'....

Cycle Gear are also VERY generous to the Cal24 rally. I should know, as I won a $200 gift certificate at the rally banquet this year. :yahoo:

Way to go Fencer!! Go out and support our beloved sponsers by getting crap off the clearance rack? :angry2:

Kidding of Course, I agree the ol'cycle gear dudes are all right in my book. :)

Funny story about cycle gear: I stop in to buy a new face sheild for my helmet. Motocross Sales Dude insists on opening it and putting it on the helmet for me to be nice. Yep, he broke the friggin mechanism on the side of my helmet in about 2 1/2 seconds. So he calls Tire Boy/Tattoo Canvas Dude over to show him his fine skills. I say nothing!! He takes one look and says "see if we have his size in stock"? I still say nothing thinking he's going to replace the broken piece. Hell No!! They open up and give me a brand new helmet and apologize for the mishap.

I walk out of there thinking, Boy Motocross dude is about to get one helluva bitch slap up side the head!!
