Four score years ago a boy was born in Hollywood, CA. He went to work at nine years old delivering the local newspaper.

At 13 1/2 years of age and now with a Driver's License he became a District Manager for the newspaper.

During highschool he built engines and raced drag cars. Many said he was "A crazy teenager." He tried racing motorcycles, but crashed at the Dry Lakes.

After highschool he went to college and graduated with a degree in Forestry and went to work with the U. S. Forest Service.

His Forestry career was interupted by some time in the U.S. Army.

Returning Stateside, he married his highschool girlfriend and they raised four children together.

When the kids were grown he began to ride motorcycles once more. Many called him "A crazy adult." Even his Doctor said he was a "Organ doner."

Since then he has ridden almost 400,000 miles in the USA, Canada, Mexico, and Russia.

Today, as he sees almost 80 years of age, he purchased a bright Red 2014 FJR to match is 2014 Red Mustag

Now he is a "CRAZY OLD MAN."

It still says "2004 (Gen1) N. America" under your name, so it didn't happen!

Congratulations on your new bike, and may you get 400,000 more miles!

I hope to join the future crazies. I recently bought a 2014 red motorcycle and maybe a red vette would help move me to the "Crazy Old Man" phase, but only after I become old.

Congratulations Bruce and remember that I have a lot of respect for my elders.

Nice story.

As a mere youngster of 72, I hope I grow up to become that crazy old.

Impressive except for the interval where the protagonist started riding again "after the children were grown. I never stopped riding or flying while my son was growing up.

My son-in-law never drove motorcycles or flew airplanes or indulged in other "risky" behavior. I don't think he was really inclined to, so no big sacrifice. And he was responsible enough to provide for his wife and children in the event of his death. Lo and behold, he went to work one day and never came home. Aged 36. He was killed by a pinsetter machine, I kid you not. As it turned out, between his very healthy life insurance policy and other things his wife and children are completely provided for. He was worth more dead than alive.

We love a story with a happy ending. You had me worried for a bit when your 04 showed up for sale. There is nothing wrong with crazy or old. I plan on doing both.

Hope I live long enough to be able to write a story like that. You certainly have something to be thankful for.

Ride safe.

Congrats.

I wish I had worked in the forestry service. I bet that was a lot more fun than what I ended up doing. Grass, Green, ya know...

But there is no denying the 2014 ES is a great choice.

I can't believe you didn't have the patience to wait and see what color the 2015's are.
