I thought I would relay my experience and save someone else the possibility of broken parts. I was out for an evening ride, went by my buddys house and he was out working on his car. I pulled up in front of his driveway, he sees me and comes walking over. Still sitting on the bike with it idling, I shake his hand, he gives the bike a quick once over, makes a postitive comment about it, and reaches out to give it the obligatory throtte rev. Well you can guess what happened next. Fortunately I had my right foot on the footbrake at the time. The bike leapt forward about 2 feet, he jumped back about 2 feet with eyes as big as saucers, and I got ready to change my underwear. No damage occured but it certainly had potential to be a big mess. So suffice it to say, If I stop anywhere in the presence of other humans, its coming out of gear.
