Anybody else hear it? We got some good media today....

He basically said it was the most artistic to watch and talent-demanding form of motorsports, pretty much on the opposite end of the spectrum from Nascar, and it's lack of popularity in the US is a convincing testimonial on the general lack of intelligence of Americans. He went on to say that anybody could go to one of those Nascar camps and be turning 150 mile an hour laps after some guidance and practice, but no way could they even come close to that performance with a bike on a road course.

According to him, there's no greater spectacle in racing than the camera shot at the end of the straight, watching those guys carve into the turn from 180 mph, and dragging knees on every turn.

All his opinion, but I agree....

Absolutely - it's thing of beauty to watch - poetry in motion. The skill (and cajones) level required, unbelievable. Adam is a motorhead - he knows! By the way Ducati will dominate this year - no contest.

I can still put the "Faster" DVD in and sit there with my mouth hanging open. He can't dance, says my wife, I wouldn't know about that.

How much I agree, it's difficult to say other then... completely.

These guys, the motogp racers, are absolutely phenomenal. If you havent' seen the Faster DVD, ya have to. It's a necessity.

Rossi: motorbike is like 80% rider and 20% bike, car is like 20% driver and 80% car...

He can't dance, says my wife, I wouldn't know about that.
But he had a quick comeback for the judge who told him that. "I buy and sell people like you".

I think he got picked for the dance show like some of those "Idol" contestants- Pure humor.

He does say there's nobody in the world that's better than him at receiving oral. An admirable skill, fer sure....

I have a whole new respect for ol' Adam. When I look at Stoner dominating so decisively, and Rossi before, I recall the book by Keith Code Twist of the Wrist II, where he talks about overcoming your survival instincts. Think of the cojones combined with the skill that it takes to brake deeper into the turn at the end of the straightway (when you're on the Ducati and flying by everyone!), and make those turns. It's freakin' superhuman! I bet even MadMike2 couldn't do it!

JB

P.S. In Faster it was the moto-reporter (big guy with the beard) who made the 80-20 comment. Rossi said, "First time you get on a MotoGP bike.....fuuuuuuuck."

I have a whole new respect for ol' Adam.
Then go out and support his theatrical endeavor this weekend by seeing "The Hammer" at a theater near you. Released today, but I'm at work so won't get to see it until tomorrow. Hurry, it probably won't be in theaters very long at all.

It's a self-portrait of his life as a carpenter trying to become a boxer, and stand-up comedian thrown in.

"Dancing with the Stars" funnyman ADAM CAROLLA has a new comedy hitting the big screen this weekend, and ET was at the big Hollywood premiere of 'The Hammer' to get the "Dancing" dish!
'The Hammer' finds Adam as Jerry Ferro, a perpetual underachiever and once-promising boxer who hits a serious mid-life crisis on his 40th birthday. Biding his time between construction jobs and the evening boxing classes he teaches to amateurs at a Pasadena gym, opportunity knocks when he's asked to spar with hot up-and-comer Malice Blake. Jerry gets a serious beating, but a one-punch knockdown of Malice convinces him that it's time to seriously return to the ring -- and embark on a hilarious quest for Olympic gold.
