Hi all,

I'm flying down to Hobbs NM (from Abq) Friday to pick up my new AE. I'd like

to at least temporarily install my Escort radar detector for the ride home

(300 mi). Given the acc. outlet in the glove box the left handlebar seems

the best place to mount the detector. Only problem: no clutch reservoir to

velcro it to. Any thoughts or recommendations where I could mount it in the

vicinity of the glove box? Thanks.

The Escort has helped me avoid numerous "performance awards" from LEOs :)

Won't the cord reach to the brake reservoir? Also, I'd use 3M Dual Lock, much better than Velcro. It's available at Radio Shack, I think they call it Super Lock fastening tape. Comes in three or four colors as well.

It probably would. I was just hoping for a cleaner installation if possible. Thanks for the recommendation on the RS stuff.

Anyone know if the left handlebar has a threaded hole into which I could screw a ball/ram mount?

There is the cleverly hidden mirror mount hole that's part of the clutch reservoir casting. COmes pre-threaded (10 mm).
