:angry2:

Because of traffic, I got off where I did and once I stopped at point 8, Chevron dealer decided to stop and give my better half my route and would see her later.

Well as I am filling up as I always do, set the fuel pump lock and failed watch it to stop it this time I was just kicking back on the bike reviewing my map :) to figure out where i would ride from here to take the long way home. Then all of the sudden gas if just over flowing all over the place  , tank bag and gloves soak, grab the fuel pump and yank it out of the tank as it is going all over the top of it as I shut it off.

Talk about pissed, I never had a pump not stop once the tank was full. leason learned, normally I have my hand on the pump, but this time I was looking at my map. shame on me, anyway jump off bike, looking for something to get the gas off the bike! grab the window washer fluid resivor and pour it all over the bike tank after closing it.

Walk in side to let them know about the mishap and my dispeasure in the experience! Anyway get a bucket of water from one of the girls and wash off bike the best I can. Ask where the nearst car wash is, back track 1.5 miles pull in, procede to wash bike, spray off tank bag and gloves.

Now that I am cooled down a bit, decide to continue on with my adventure.

So off again!

:D Ran most of the way over the posted limit, take you bike maybe! found if I pushed myself back in the seat giving the little bit of support a chance to hold me in place and putting more pressure on the pegs it alloud for a more agressive riding posture with out laying on the tank!

What a great ride it turned out to be, bike stayed at 2 bars most of the time, had to be around 75-80 out still.

Any one in the area this is a great ride as long as you do not follow suit withthe gas spill!

Except for the gas bath, it sounds like you had a fun ride. Would you mind providing detailed directions for your route? :D

You like those! :)

You know I went to great lengths and spared no expense in provided those.

I bet a picture would be worth a thousand words too :p

If I failed to mention, I also went airborne over some railroad tracks that were more like a mound, good thing I was holding on to those bars, flew up off seat and pegs, then landed back down softly, not :D

afterward I knew why the van coming in the other direction stopped, probably wanted to see if I would continue or &*&% the %$%&^ out.

All in all it was a great time, I enjoy getting the map out plotting a course and taking off.

I left work today on my bike too. Ain't it a great feeling!;-)

Do you, like, ever get off just meandering around aimlesslyand following a road wherever it goes?

Glad you enjoy the ride.

Yeah since I do not find to many people that are able to ride on my schedule most of my riding is by myself.

Generally, I'll take off and wonder trying to find my way from home and back the longest way possible.

Two weeks ago, I had removed the windshield and everything wiring up some lights and moving or changing the wiring of my power box under the seat.

Decided it would be a great time to ride with out the windshield, it was a great day for riding, then I wound up out in the dark and cold, mesh gear, no shield to help this flame thrower pull the heat up on me.

Anyway long story short had to stop and buy a couple long sleeve shirts to put on for the final hour ride home, I was a bug magnet.

Had I have at least reviewed my map before starting I would not have had to stop so many times to see where the heck I was, on the side of the road.

So now I do the same thing wander with a smile on my face and have only one goal, end up at home, when I need to.

It is great to just jump on this ride and go.

BTW today, 5.85 gallons in at fill up. so I still had 20 miles to go before the thumb came out!

And it is also fun to get on the map software and look to see where I have been and where the roads I chose not to take would have taken me! Great for next time!
