Just got a new set of the Pilot Road 2's put on the beast today... ran the same previously to the tune of about 10K miles so very pleased (for those that are in the group buy process!). Prolly could've gotten more out of them but given I'm headed for a 1500+ mile trip to Death Valley next week, I figured I'd better be safe than sorry. Nothing like having a bad tire in the middle of nowhere.

I love how the bike handles and feels... just so light and nimble especially for a 700+ pound bike... feel like a little kid! Wheeeeee!! :yahoo:

I'm looking forward to getting mine too.

I even love the smell of new tires...

Funny story... our one-car garage is filled with 2 street bikes, two dirt bikes (for me and my daughter), a trailer, and various accoutrements (cause I know there are some here who like that word). Shannon (my daughter) and I went out to the garage one morning to go dirt bike riding... I opened the garage and that smell... oil, rubber, chain lube, leather, etc. came wafting out. She just said, "Mom, I love that smell." Couldn't have agreed with her more. :)

I had cologne that smelled like that, but women hated it. Go figure, must have been a bad batch...

Or the wrong women... ;)

I am sooo happy to read this. I need new shoes for both my girls this spring and was leaning towards the PRII's, but undecided (as usual).

The turn in on the BT021's sucketh much, not to mention the noise....ack.

Thanks!

Aw, Barb... I'm disappointed... I thought you were gonna make some comment on rubber since we've already covered batteries.

Actually, was gonna relate a story about leather scented condoms, but figured I have f'd up enough threads in the last few days, I'd spare potential readers.

...I need a life...sigh

Not rubber. Latex! Shiny, ooooh!

I was surprised at how the new Pilots felt on my bike. They seemed "stickier" and, while it may just all be in my head, I felt more confident riding into corners because of them.

Man I wish I could figure out how yall get that kinda milage out of any tire!

Dont know what them accoutrements are, but I got alot of motorcycle ridin stuff in my garage! :)

Me too! New set of PR2's really freshen up the riding experience.
