Okay here's the deal. Every year I have a big frickin cookout at the lake during the air show RAIN OR SHINE. What the all star games are to some this is it for me. I am inviting ANYONE that wants to come. It will be SAT AUG 19! I usually make hamburgers, chili turkey burgers(messy but yummy!),chicken breasts,italian sausages on the grill, for sides it's usually potato salad(store bought(sp?) and handmade salsa,not too spicy,the SO can't handle too hot :haha: . I'm always on the west side of LSD so as to avoid the crowds :angry: right by Lincoln Park Zoo so there's plenty of space for everyone and the potty is 3-4 mins away(1-2 if ya gotta goes bad!)
I also get there at 7am just so i get the parking spot i want($25for the day,goes right to the zoo) and cuz it fills up by 8am. I usually set up camp w/in 4-8 degrees of the the front end of my tahoe,so all you have to do is find Moby,look straight ahead of it and there i am. It's a tried and true method,too many people otherwise.
So ,if anyone becomes interested let me knowby aug 17/18 so i can gather all the proper supplies. Also, I will have a map w/ directions to the spot where i am and parking suggestios for anyone that wants to come later.I know nobody wants to show up at 7am only to wait 4 hrs for the first aircraft to fly by,even I take a nap until 10:30am when I'm there. I fire the grill up at 1115 sharp so as to have lunch done and digesting by 1300.
