It's a conspiracy I tell ya!

On a side note; my wife flies for US Airways and knows several of the flight attendance on that flight. One heck of a story!

Hey,don't forget the Euros that built it. :clapping:
Hoping those engines were built by Rolls Royce and not by GE - Airbus may use either. And hoping that if, in fact, this was an aircraft-specific fault, that it might improve Boeing's reputation in comparison! Lord knows the economy could use some more billion-dollar Boeing orders.

They run the CFM56 and that sure looks like one on the recovery:

Article with photos

The model is used on both Boeing and 'Bus.

Anyone ever remember seeing pratt testing out their engines with frozen turkeys nshit? They'd have a jet engine running and they'd shoot birds into it to see what damage it would do. Kewl ****. Been close to 20 years since I seen those at tech school, though.

Reminds me of the Myth Busters episode when they shot a chicken into a Cessna's (or whatever it was) windshield. Good stuff.
