Alaska in Summer 2011

I'll be headed from Texas to Anchorage in mid-June to return in late July. Is anyone interested/able to come along? Once out of the inferno south I expect to camp 2-3 days at a time with cheap motels thrown into the mix for the occasional shower & laundry.

Tempting, but I already have plans for the same trip in 2012. I'm finding planning for the time off is the hardest part, for some reason my bosses need a lot of notice, and reminders <_<

bigtallguy, My Summer of 2011 Ride Calendar is already booked: WheatonFJR Rendezvous in California in May, CFR in New Brunswick in June and BMW MOA Rally in Pennsylvania in July. BUT, keep my information handy, as 2012 is wide open and a return motorcycle ride to Alaska sounds great:

Two of my buds and I are leaving for AK in late May, maybe we'll cross paths...when you see a V-Strom, KLR and a Versys, thats us.

Just did that ride in 2010, doubt I can get 4 to 5 weeks in a row off again this summer. I would love to go back, it was the topic of conversation at lunch today...when to go back.
