...Iowa that is B)

Over the Easter weekend my wife and I rode to her relatives in south eastern Iowa, Wayland to be specific. This was the first long ride for the both of us on the FJR, she had never gone more than 100mi. previous to this ride and I had never gone more than 40 or so to the dealer so far. All said it was a 315mi round trip and we both enjoyed the entire time. I've been told that the FJR is much nicer than my old Bandit was, so much so in fact, that I was also told that I may never ride solo again ;) I have to say that the Navigon app for the iPhone was a great GPS, at one point we got off the four lane highway for a pitstop and ended up in Bussey, Iowa (google that, truly the middle of nowhere). Navigon simply told me to keep going and rerouted me perfectely, also it has several profiles and driving styles. I set it for motorcycling and senic and it did a great job of getting us off the beaten path an onto unused 2 lane country roads. If you have an iPhone (no GPS in the iPod) and are looking Navigon is worth the price.

In keeping w/ the topic we passed this sign on the way back home. We would have gone to Rome but the T-Storm brewing literally above us and the loose gravel meant we had to pass it up this time.

Nice looking 2007.

U from Des Moines?? As a native Kalifornian, that was the 1st time I felt what REAL cold was - walking around around downtown at 19 degrees with the wind howling. I had to bend over and pick up my large Swedish ears off the pavement that simply fell off in the cold.

You gotta love Central Kalifornia!

Not sure, but I've got a hunch that Rome Iowa is a tad bit different from Rome Italy. :)

Yeah it got nice and cold this winter, I guess I got used to it 'cause once it was above 35° and felt warm again I got the bike out and started to ride :)

Aside from the Colosseum being built from old farm implements it's remarkably similar ;)

You must have drifted a long way from the Swedish Motherland then...19 degrees is balmy in the wintertime...
