Almond Festival

Some information about riding up hwt.16 out of Woodland heading north to hwy..20. Next week starting saturday and continuing in to sunday there will be anywhere from 5,000 to 15,000 people more people enjoying the almond festival, which has been going on for over 50 years in the valley .

There will be exhibits, food .culture events, meet the new almond queen, maybe some casino gambling if you feel lucky. And the big one There will be anywhere from 500 to over 1000 motorcycle on the road and most will be harley riders. Yes a whole lot of drinking will be happening with them this is an anual event and gathering for them.

Aside from that this is a pretty time to ride the valley when the blossom are out on the almond trees.

So if anyone decides to go please be careful the LEO's will be out in force.

Heard from the almond growers this season is not looking good because of lower than normal temperatures. Aparently, the bees are staying in doors because it is too cold to go outside.
