Been riding my bike the last few weekends and but over 2200 miles on it.

Just short of 19000 miles and this 05 feels like it is just broken in.

Super smooth, gears are shifting like greased and polished lightning. Seems like everything has meshed together over the last 3000 miles and the bike is feeling so goooood and powerful.

The overall feel of the bike is just tremendous.

Anyone else experience this around this mileage?

OLD GUYS RULE :good:

Yup. Don't judge your FJR until it racks up some miles. It gets better and better.

Coming up on 37K and my '04 is running better than it was at 20K. Mileage is consistent around 42-45 mpg, power seems to be actually stronger than at 20K, and overall bike is handling great.

Well into my fifth season aboard the '03, now with 35,000 miles, 4,500 of which have been added since mid-April. Still a very strong runner (lofts the front wheel easier, I think), nicely mannered handler (though a rear shock upgrade would settle things a bit more), comfortable, dead reliable, economical (45-46 mpg), still loads of fun. I knew this was a keeper my first time out. It was subsequently stolen, wrecked, totalled, bought back from the insurance company, then restored and put back into service because I couldn't think of any better all-around bike I wanted to own. I think I'll use it five more years, then consider an upgrade. I once owned and rode an 1100F Honda for 10 years, too. You keep what works.

Of course, I can't judge until it hits 70k or so miles... the FJR has to hold up as well as other bikes I've owned. I think it will...

32,000 on my '06 and still can't keep the bitch from chasing any thing else that it spots on two wheels. Thinks it's a sport bike that can take along the kitchen sink.
