Things are looking good.

I just need to finish having my front fork seals replaced, install new front tire, repack steering head bearings, change oil & filter, install rear trunk and then pack. This is going to be one hectic week.

I plan to roll out of Nova Scotia at 5:00 Monday morning so that should put me in Mount-Tremblant by 6:00 pm.

(EDIT: That would be Monday June 21st)

Almost ready? That's funny..... got to take a trip to West Virginia first.... must be a warm up thing

I'm more inclined to think you're exporting a few polar bears to West Va. than just doing a ride thingy.

We've only to pack the saks then hit the road.

:jester:

Almost ready....

Now that I fixed my right FF50 (rain in Tennessee was causing it to work intermittently - a little dash of contact cleaner fixed 'er up) and got my air horn working again (rain at EOM '09 caused the relay to crap out), and had a new front tire put on last week, all I really need to do is change the oil (just because, even though it's only been maybe 1500 miles or so, but that includes some winter sitting) and rear-end lube and swap the GXM30 receiver over to the FJR from the Harley, and we'll be aboot set, eh?

I'm definitely ready for a road trip.

I just did new tires, and punkin fluid today :smilingsmiley: Gonna do Earl on Wednesday after work. Then we should be good to go! :specool:

Oil change? Check.

Final-drive lube change? Check.

XM receiver bike swap? Check.

Double-check oil level? Check, and I managed to not overfill the damn thing this time.

Load BugR's routes into the GPS? Check.

About all that's left is to apply RainCoat to the windshield and helmet visors, and one last tire-pressure check.

I feel like I'm forgetting something...

Oh, yeah - gotsta get smokes and maybe a bottle of Maker's Mark for the road.

Is bringing in a bottle of booze for personal consumption frowned upon? I've never spent more than an hour or two in another country... Or would I be better off to just wait 'til we're in the Great White Nort to get a bottle?

You can take anything you want into any other country Andy. Cannabis, Illicit drugs.. :dribble: I think the only requirement is you must share.

Don't worry bub I'll vouch for ya. ;)

I know Bearly always drags along a couple bottles with him, not sure If it's ok but he manages..

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy; day after tomorrow We Arizona Stanley Boys shove off from The Valley of the Blast Furnace to The Great Frozen North of Canada, eh. We were going to head to Upstate NY and over the border by way of OKC, Indianapolis and Cleveland, but it looks like some really nasty weather is going on there; high winds, torrential rain and even tornadoes. Any better route suggestions?

We will check out The Weather Channel before our Thursday 0630 6/17 departure. May stop in Albuquerque to share a meal with HotRodZilla (oh boy, Armadillo tacos!) and then head north to Denver and east on 80. Then through Chicago (WeirdoVille!) and Rochester to Seth's Family in Saratoga Springs. The weather is looking really great for Mont-Tremblant, though! Polar Bears, here we come!!!

I just checked the forecast for Mont Tremblant - mid 70's and sunny the whole week :yahoo:
Well Steve, Phoenix and Mont Tremblant have one thing in common - sunny! However, The Sonoran Desert is in mid 100's the whole week. Glad to be heading to Quebec; Ondole y rapido, mis amigos!

You can bring in one bottle of booze, max 1 litre (or just tell 'em you don't drink when they ask). You are also limited to one carton of smokes.

Booze, gas, food and such are more expensive up here than they are south of the border. So, while it may only save a few $$$$, tank up before you cross the border and save about 80 cents a gallon. Then again, we don't water down our gas with corn in the vast majority of places.

Maybe not clear - that is a bottle PER PERSON.

Arrrrgh! Only 10 hrs left to prep and take care of business before I start my "Required" pre-trip, extra long, sleep.

Plan is for kickstands up at first light tomorrow. Day 1 could see a near IB qualifying ride! (Gotta get as much Prairie as possible in the rear view! :) )

New oil & filter, Rifle windshield comes Friday, and darned tack caused a flat tire today to be fixed tomorrow. Glad I got a little more extra time than you LD riders.
