Americade to Montreal, Qc

We will be at the Americade on Friday next week.

To go, Montreal to Lake George on highway.

To come back, we would like to take our time and do "S" route up to the custom border. :dribble:

Any suggestion ?

Highway 9N is a nice ride out of the north end of Lake George (take the right fork) and then you can shift over to 22 in Westport. Head North to Plattsburgh and from there it's a hop, skip and a jump to Montreal - not much nice north of Plattsburgh, so you might as well use the 87/15.

If you'd like a pleasant ride down, get off the slab and take regular route 9 (the inland portion) . . . for even nicer riding, take 138 down through the park and by the Danemora prison to get to Plattsburgh.

On the way North a side trip down CR-8 in Clinton County off the 9N is nice . . . but this is the route I did last year, down via Stowe and Smuggler's Notch and back up on 9 - 9N is nicer. by the way.
