And when you went down, you landed on a deserted island

"one bourbon, one scotch, one beer" -thoroughgood & the destroyers

that's what'd i be prayin' for anyway. that's some very fine sipping tequila, toe.
That's definitely one of my favorites, just not the right one....

And as far as my opinion is concerned, there's no finer. Love their Reposada, looking forward to cracking that bottle of Anejo in Park City. You planning on making it?

C'mon, who else has an all-time favorite riding tune?
Toe,

Unfortunately, nope: another trip has a previous claim on my riding credits (although I hope to get an IBA certificate out of it). Have fun & maybe consider playing the song (whatever it is, although now I'm suspecting John Lennon) during the shotfest. Unless twn is right and the Pee Wee Herman dance is involved: don't do that no matter how good the tequila is.

[Edit: oooooh, favorite riding song: "My name is Kiiiiiiiiid Roooooooooock..." Since this is in the completely off-topic forum, fyi: The Hold Steady's new cd, Boys and Girls in America, rocks. Hard. Can't play track #8 without cranking the volume to 11.]

One that gets me cranked volume up is ZZ Top 'Cheap Sunglasses'

Layin on the Beach Peggy Lee 'I just want to make Love to you' :yahoo:

"Thomas, The Tank Engine"

I've got a 2year old in love with "Choo-Choo" and I can't get that damn tune out of my head! :dribble: :yahoo:

Cash or Kristofferson? Or even more obscure, Genesis?

"Out In The Country", Three Dog Night. (I like that one a lot but it wouldn't be my choice)

I might pick "Rock and Roll" by Led Zeppelin (but then I would have to buy an iPod first for that to happen)

Back around Memorial Day, as the group I was riding with was entering Big Bend National Park, (me for the first time), I was listening to Nutbush City Limits, off Bob Seger's Live Bullet. I think I wet myself.

If i landed on a deserted island and I could only hear one song, I hope it would be Taps.

Back to the question - Games People Play - Alan Parsons?

(edit: I sure hope it isn't 'Pray' by Mc Hammer)

Well, I can't think of any songs about planes going down or desert islands, and I never heard of many of the songs the rest of you are proposing. But, since I do enjoy a good party I'll say for me, if I could only have one popular culture song it would be from Jimi Hendrix. Maybe 'voodoo chile' or 'crosstown traffic' or, um, forget it, there are just too many to pick from.

Besides, tequila makes me crazy.

Nothing like diggin' up a thread from well over a year ago. Geez. I was thinkin' that Toecutter was gonna have a nice bottle of tequila with him in Golden until I saw a reference to Park City. Park City? What the? Oh, crap. this contest is from LAST YEAR!

Phuck me.
