WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where did this guy come up with a 500 rpm reduction @ 70 mph? Actual reduction is closer to 110 rpm. Did he really see 99 mpg on the instantaneous readout? Thought this function never read more than 17 mpg.

The MotorcycleDaily report is probably a more realistic assessment.

Well, go figger... his review was of the 2007 model. Whaddya expect?

At least it sounded like he had some fun at Yamaha's expense and didn't really poo poo on the AE too much.

And, as the photo posted above, we now know for sure that you CAN hooligan the AE. :yahoo:

It was a fun, albeit flawed, read.... Thanks Randy!

That Cerulean Siver paint sure makes for the best-looking FJRs.... :D

But it's still gonna take some time to get used to seeing a bike with no clutch lever....

Perhaps this guy is trying to suggest that riding the AE model turns you gay and causes you to ride side-saddle... :p

WC, does that mean His Beneviolence is actually going to get an AE??

And of course, you are correct on both counts... CeRULEan..well... rules.. and I know I will be grabbing for the phantom lever and looking for N between 1 & 2, not at the bottom. Glad they didn't put a brake handle on the left. Don't see how those MXers do that... unless they learn it that way from birth or something...
